Next week will be my first trip to Vienna and I’ve already started planning out the trip, booking train tickets, purchasing eSims, etc! I’m soooo excited.
I’ll be arriving the Friday before, and my fiancée and I plan to do some sightseeing in the small town of Melk over the weekend. We’ll then head into Vienna Sunday for more sightseeing and to catch up with everyone.
I’ll be presenting two sessions at next week’s DrupalCon Europe. Details below:
Wednesday: How to Land an EPIC Contribution in Drupal (Without Losing Your Mind)
The first one is on Wednesday at 4:15pm, and I’ll be co-presenting with Acquia’s Matt Glaman.
I’m super excited about this because Matt and I have a strong track record of doing cool things in Drupal. Separately, we’ve both done plenty, but together we’ve fixed some gnarly core bugs, and (my favorite) added in the user interface to disable caching and enable Twig debugging.
This session is going to be an absolute blast. We’ll be talking about how to identify things to fix, pitching the idea, putting together the team, doing the work, advocating for it to be committed (gently bugging people), and more! Our goal is to empower folks to tackle some of Drupal’s paper-cuts, and make the platform better for everyone.

Thursday: The Future of Drupal Theming: AI, Drupal Canvas, and Beyond
My second session is also at 4:15pm, but on the last day of the ‘Con. I gave this session at DrupalCon Atlanta in May, and so much has changed! Experience Builder Drupal Canvas is just about stable, and it’s fun and interesting to see how it’s coming together. There are now new best practices, and tips and tricks that weren’t available in May. I’m excited to share all of this.

I’ll also be in the hallway track chatting Drupal and slingin’ themes!
Since you’re reading this blog on our new website, I’m assuming that you already know what Dripyard is (hint: we sell high-quality premium Drupal themes). But maybe you want to see a demo, or take it for a test drive? If you’re interested, track me down. I’d love to show them off! See you in a bit!
