Dripyard is committed to building the web so everyone can use it. That means two things:
- Our website aims to conform to WCAG 2.2 Level AA, and
- Our premium Drupal themes are designed and tested to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA when implemented correctly.
We know accessibility is a journey, not a checkbox, and we’re always working to improve.
Scope
This statement covers:
- dripyard.com and related subdomains that we operate.
- Dripyard themes and starter kits that we sell and distribute.
It does not cover third-party content, services, or plugins/modules we don’t control.
Conformance status
- Website: Our intent is WCAG 2.2 AA conformance. We regularly audit templates, interactions, and content against these criteria and remediate issues we find.
Themes: Our themes are built to conform to WCAG 2.2 AA-conformant out of the box. However, real-world conformance depends on how the theme is configured and the content you add. Examples that can impact accessibility include: insufficient color contrast in custom palettes, non-descriptive link text, missing alternative text, inaccessible embeds, custom components, or third-party scripts. While we aim for WCAG 2.2 AA conformance, bugs and gaps can occur.
Put simply: we give you an accessible foundation—you’ll keep it accessible by using accessible content and following our implementation guidance.
What we do to support accessibility
- Design & code standards: Semantic HTML, proper labeling, focus management, visible focus states, logical headings, ARIA only when needed, color-contrast safety rails, motion preferences, reduced flashing/animation, and keyboard operability.
- Testing: Automated checks (e.g., axe, Lighthouse) plus manual reviews with keyboard-only navigation.
- Documentation: Our theme docs include guidance on accessible content entry, media alternatives, color usage, and component do’s/don’ts.
- Continuous improvement: We track issues, prioritize fixes, and ship updates that improve accessibility.
Known limitations and bugs
Despite our best efforts, bugs and gaps can occur. If you encounter a problem, please tell us so we can fix it.
- Report an issue: [email protected]. Include the page URL, a brief description, steps to reproduce, and (if comfortable) your browser, OS, and assistive technology.
We aim to acknowledge reports within 3 business days and prioritize severe barriers quickly.
Compatibility
Our themes and site aim to work with:
- The latest two versions of modern browsers (Chromium-based, Firefox, Safari).
- Desktop and mobile devices.
- Common assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA with Firefox, JAWS with Chrome/Edge, VoiceOver with Safari).
Older browsers or heavily customized environments may experience reduced support.
Guidance for customers using our themes
Accessibility is shared work. To preserve WCAG 2.2 AA conformance in production, please:
- Provide text alternatives for images, charts, and media.
- Keep color contrast above AA thresholds when customizing palettes.
- Use clear, descriptive link text and headings in logical order.
- Author captions/transcripts for multimedia.
- Avoid inaccessible third-party widgets/scripts where possible.
- Test critical flows with a keyboard and, if possible, a screen reader before launch.
- Follow our component documentation and do not remove built-in accessibility attributes or roles without a vetted reason.
