Componentized for modern Drupal

Dripyard themes are built almost entirely using SIngle Directory Components, which enables our themes to adapt to any information architecture you may dream up including Paragraphs, Layout Builder and more.

Built by the experts in Drupal themes

Dripyard was founded by two long-time Drupal contributors with a shared passion for building sustainable, world-class themes.

Mike Herchel, co-founder and lead frontend developer, was the primary developer behind Drupal’s default theme, Olivero. He also contributes to the Claro admin theme and Drupal CMS, and maintains Drupal core’s CSS subsystem—helping define the styling standards that shape Drupal itself.

Andy Giles, co-founder and lead backend developer, has worked with Drupal for more than 15 years. A prolific contributor, he maintains over 30 open source projects on Drupal.org, many in the Drupal Commerce ecosystem.

Built for performance

Dripyard’s themes are lightning fast. We optimize CSS and JS to only load when necessary. Image styles used modern formats, and fonts are preloaded as necessary.

Modern accessible menu overlay

The navigation system in Great Lakes is designed for clarity and scale. It supports simple single-level menus or deep multi-level structures, making it perfect for universities, government, and organizations with complex information architecture. Built-in support for menu card content lets you highlight key destinations right inside the menu.

It’s clean, dependable, and fully accessible, with semantic markup, proper disclosure buttons, and thorough testing across all viewport widths.

Full multilingual support

Great Lakes is fully translatable using Drupal's robust translation APIs. It fully supports RTL layouts for right-to-left languages such as Hebrew and Arabic. It also includes an integrated language switcher component in the default header.

Built for ease of use on any device or screen width

Great Lakes is tested and optimized for mobile and tablet usage, just as it is for desktop. It has large tap targets, thought out interactions, and logical mobile layouts built in.
